Job Description

Job Description: The GA Team Member ensures accuracy completeness and timely processing of transactions within the General Accounting team adhering to internal and external accounting guidelines for the Shared Service Centre (SSC).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Processing and analysis of financial data: Creating and posting GL journals performing month-end US GAAP reporting preparing balance sheet reconciliations and reviewing Profit & Loss statements.
  • Reconciliations and Audits: Reviewing bank reconciliations managing balance sheet accounts and preparing for US GAAP and local statutory audits including reconciling US GAAP to Local GAAP.
  • Intercompany and Tax: Managing intercompany balances and supporting tax computations (ASC740 and local tax returns).
  • Compliance and Projects: Ensuring internal audits are completed participating in Sarbanes Oxley requirements and contributing to SSC projects.
  • Stakeholder Management: Delivering excellent customer service to business unit finance staff and maintaining strong relationships with SSC departments Accenture and external auditors.
  • Performance: Contributing to service level targets.

Qualifications :

Qualifications:

Essential:

  • Qualified Accountant (recognised under Irish regulation).
  • Experience with US GAAP statutory accounts and audit SOX and ERP Systems.
  • Proven track record in business partnership and high-volume reconciliation experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong knowledge of GA processes and procedures.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Good attendance and timekeeping record.
  • Technically competent.
  • Fluency in English (C1 Level is a must have).

Desirable:

  • Exposure to a culturally diverse working environment.
  • One major European language (desirable).
  • Google Suite Applications
  • Shared Service Centre exposure.
  • Advanced Excel and Macros.
