SalarySchedule: MEA - Base & TRI Salary Scheduleat Goal:

Thisposition will provide quality teaching and learning at the elementary and/orsecondary level by providing intentional instruction at the classroomlevel. The successful candidate willimplement quality instruction in all subject areas by implementing professionaldevelopment provided at the building and district level designed to improvestudent achievement.

MinimumQualifications:

• ValidWashington State Teacher certificate with Library Media preferred
• ValidWashington State Teacher certificate with Elementary Education endorsement required
• Excellentoral and written communication skills
• Successfulteaching experience at appropriate grade level preferred
• Experienceand/or training with cultural ethnic and language diversity preferred

Essential Job Functions:

• Prepare teaching materials andreports for the purpose of implementing lesson plans and providingdocumentation of teacher and student progress
• Monitor student activities forthe purpose of providing a safe and optimal learning environment
• Report incidents (child abusefights substance abuse etc.) for the purpose of maintaining personal safetyof students providing a positive learning environment and adhering toeducation code and district and school policies
• Provide an exceptionaleducational experience to all students; communicate an enthusiasm for learning
• Provide clear and focusedinstruction for all students by using a variety of teaching strategies to meetthe needs of all students to assure successful learning through a definedcourse of study
• Advise parents and/or legalguardians of student progress for the purpose of supporting teachersexpectations developing methods for improvement and/or reinforcing classroomgoals in the home environment
• Assess and monitor students forthe purpose of providing feedback to students parents and administrationregarding student progress expectations and goals by using qualityclassroom-based assessments
• Collaborate with schoolpersonnel parents and various community agencies for the purpose of improvingthe quality of student outcomes developing solutions and planning curriculumand willingness to work with grade level team
• Direct instructionalassistants volunteers and/or student aides for the purpose of providing aneffective school program and addressing the needs of individual students and besupportive of parent volunteers in the classroom
• Utilize district adoptedcurriculum to guide instruction
• Establish and maintainstandards of student behavior needed to provide an orderly productiveenvironment for learning
• Direct instructional assistantsvolunteers and/or student aides for the propose of providing an effectiveschool and library program while addressing the needs of individual studentsand be supportive of parent volunteers in the classroom
• Perform data entry and word processingfunctions to maintain library database
• Maintain library supplies materialsand repairs as necessary Report incidents (child abuse fights substanceabuse etc.) for the purpose of maintaining personal safety of studentsproviding a positive learning environment adhering to education code anddistrict and school policies
• Maintain consistent presence at assigned worksite andregular work hours
• Professionally interact with students staff and public
• Establish and maintain professional contacts withstudents
