Job Description
Job Title: Data Analyst II ( Python & SQL)
Location: Toronto Ontario Canada - Remote
Experience: 5 Years
Role Summary: NearSource is looking for a Data Analyst to support our client engagement by transforming raw data into meaningful insights through robust analytics and visualizations. Join our engineering team working on a project with a Fortune 500 client delivering data-driven decision support across product and business functions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive analytics initiatives to surface business insights through data analysis and visualization
- Design and develop dashboards to track product usage campaign outcomes and revenue trends
- Execute ad-hoc analyses and long-term data projects to inform strategic initiatives
- Partner with business stakeholders to define KPIs and analytical priorities
- Develop and maintain SQL scripts and stored procedures to support data transformation
- Architect data decomposition diagrams and document data processes and flows
Must-Have Skills:
- Proficient in SQL for building scalable data queries and transformations
- Strong skills for analytical scripting and data processing
- Hands-on experience with dashboarding tools such as Tableau Power BI or Plotly
Nice-to-Have Skills:
- Familiarity with designing data flow diagrams and database documentation
- Experience in automating reporting pipelines and workflows
- Ability to translate technical findings into clear business presentations
Certifications:
- Masters degree in a relevant Science or Technology discipline
