Tank Refurbisher

PURPOSE:

To refurbish grease tanks by cleaning painting and repairing them for re-distribution to customer locations.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Use cleaning equipment and chemicals to prepare tanks for refurbishing.
• Perform repairs to grease tanks and lids to make them road ready for raw material customers.
• Maintain clean and organized work area.
• Report any issues to the General Manager about repair problems with the tanks for possible changes to make them safer.
• Expected to perform other duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• None

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum of 2 years shop experience.
• Knowledge of metal fabrication cutting and welding.
• Able to work unsupervised to complete tank repairs in a safe and efficient manner.
• Must be able to read and write to understand safety training and maintain work records.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• Stooping bending and squatting.
• Climb ladders and work at heights up to 10 feet using all proper PPE.
• Lift weight up to 50 pounds.
• Able to operate a tow motor to move grease tanks around as necessary.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT:

• Able to work inside or outside to refurbish grease tanks.
• May be exposed to inclement weather
• Must be willing to work all shifts including over-time and weekends as needed.
