Job Description
JOB TITLE: Entry-Level In-Tank Sealant Mechanic - $5000 Sign-On Bonus
LOCATION: North Charleston SC
PAY RATE: $25-31/hour
We are a national aerospace and defense staffing agency seeking highly qualified candidates for a position with a top-tier client.

Summary:
-
Assemble aircraft structures and mechanical systems per work instructions and blueprints
-
Install aircraft system components such as panels and fittings
-
Apply sealants and perform bonding and grounding tasks
-
Perform wash and in-tank sealing inside fuel tanks
-
Operate mechanical lifts (e.g. ladders tiger lifts snorkel lifts)
-
Follow strict safety protocols and compliance regulations
-
Work in confined spaces and complete necessary certifications
Requirements:
-
High school diploma or GED; vocational or associate degree preferred
-
1 year of experience in assembly mechanical technical or advanced manufacturing environments
-
Experience using and interpreting detailed technical documentation (blueprints drawings work instructions)
-
Must successfully complete screening and clearance requirements
-
Ability to read and comprehend work instructions drawings and specifications in English
-
Use of hand power and pneumatic tools in mechanical/assembly tasks
-
Experience applying chemical solvents coatings primers adhesives sealants paints and special finishes
-
Perform bond and ground measurements
-
Comfortable using Microsoft Office and other specialized applications for documentation

Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).
Physical Requirements

Frequent standing bending kneeling crawling and working in confined spaces
-
Climbing/balancing on stairs ladders scaffolding and inclined surfaces
-
Regular lifting/carrying up to 35 lbs
-
Flexibility to work any assigned shift
