Job Title: Day Porter
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform and document daily inspections of the buildings interior and exterior spaces
- Perform general janitorial duties
- Trash collection and disposal
- Restroom cleaning & stocking
- Mopping/buffing of hard service floors
- Vacuuming
- Dusting
- Daily disinfection of common touch points
- Stock and maintain inventory of supplies and consumables
- Spot cleaning as required
- Provide cleaning to clinical areas following all related policies and procedures
- Assist with general building repairs (ie: change light bulbs restock consumables)
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- 2-4 Years minimum experience in janitorial services
- Potential candidate would preferably have background cleaning in a clinical/healthcare environment.
- Clean driving record
- Ability to read write and understand English
- Excellent customer service skills in dealing with staff
- Ability to operate a variety of common cleaning machines i.e. vacuums floor scrubbers/buffers etc. as well as use common hand tools
Familiarity with Material Safety Data Sheet
Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies
Reliability and Punctuality in all weather conditions
- Preferable candidate will have basic technical abilities to send emails fill out reports and use CMMS WO system
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
