Job Description

PRISM III Curriculum Council

(Elementary Grades 4-5 ELA)

Description: The PRISM III Curriculum Council will support the implementation of the new ELA Curriculum for the 2025-2026 school year in grades 4-5. The team will meet twice in the summer with the K-8 Director of ELA to include analyzing end-of-year data reviewing written responses for units creating exemplars for written responses and developing rubrics for writing pieces. Team members will report to Louise DeSisto K-8 Director of ELA/Literacy regarding this offering.

Working Time/Modality: Up to 20 Hours between July and August 2025 which will include attendance at the following working sessions:

  • Thursday July 31st from 8 AM-3 PM
  • Friday August 1st from 8 AM-3 PM

Additionally asynchronous work will be assigned before and after meeting times.

Requirements:

Current assignment that is responsible for implementation or supporting the Grades 4-5 ELA curriculum including the following roles:

  • Grades 4-5 Classroom Teacher EL Teacher SPED teacher
  • Instructional Coach or ELL Coach responsible for supporting ELA Curriculum implementation in grades 4-5

Compensation: up to 20 hours or a total of $800 per person (based on the number of teachers participating). Stipend paid as one sum at the end of the council activities.
