Job Description
Job Title: Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)
Location: Robbinsdale MN
Salary: $22.23-$27.37/hour (based on experience)
Shift: 8-hour day shifts 80 hours per 2-week pay period Hours vary between 7:00 AM-4:30 PM
Job Overview:
We are seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to support clinical operations in a busy outpatient clinic. This full-time CMA role involves assisting providers with patient care and workflow. Flexibility to float to Maple Grove Cancer Center may be required based on staffing needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Clinical Care:
- Room patients administer injections immunizations and medications
- Perform lab specimen collection phlebotomy and basic lab tests
- Assist with prescription refills and patient-provider communication
- Perform limited X-ray duties (if certified or willing to certify)
Clinic Support:
- Support front desk/check-in
- Order and stock clinical supplies
- Assist with prior authorizations
Compliance & Communication:
- Follow scope of practice and confidentiality standards
- Collaborate with physicians nurses and clinic leadership
- Maintain patient and documentation accuracy
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED - Required
- Graduate of ABHES or CAAHEP-accredited MA program OR certified MA with credentialing exam -Required
- Previous clinical experience and phlebotomy skills -Required
- Current BLS Certification -Required
- Passed X-ray operators exam or willingness to take it -Required
- Strong multitasking communication and computer skills
