Position Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Chief Operating Officer with a strong blend of sales business development and operational expertise to lead our automotive operations and drive strategic growth in the rapidly evolving automobile industry. The COO will be responsible for overseeing all operational aspects of the business while simultaneously driving revenue growth market expansion and strategic partnerships across the automotive value chain.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership & Business Development
- Develop and execute comprehensive business strategies that integrate sales operations and market expansion initiatives.
- Lead strategic business development efforts including new market entry partnership development and revenue diversification.
- Drive corporate development activities including joint ventures strategic alliances and acquisition opportunities.
- Oversee go-to-market strategies for new products and services across different automotive segments.
Sales Leadership & Revenue Growth
- Lead enterprise sales efforts for B2B automotive solutions OEM partnerships and fleet management services.
- Develop and manage key account relationships with major automotive manufacturers dealers and corporate clients.
- Drive revenue growth through strategic pricing market penetration and customer acquisition strategies.
- Oversee sales team performance territory management and channel partner development.
Market Development & Customer Relations
- Identify and pursue new market opportunities across automotive segments (passenger vehicles commercial vehicles aftermarket).
- Lead customer engagement initiatives and manage key account development programs.
- Drive customer satisfaction initiatives and manage long-term client relationships.
Financial & Performance Management
- Manage operational budgets while driving revenue growth and profitability.
- Develop and monitor KPIs for sales performance operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
- Lead cost optimization initiatives while maintaining quality standards and customer service levels.
- Prepare comprehensive reports combining operational metrics with sales performance data.
Required Qualifications
Education & Experience
- Masters degree in Business Administration or related field; MBA preferred.
- Minimum 15 years of progressive leadership experience in the automotive industry with combined sales business development and operations background.
- At least 8-10 years in senior executive roles with P&L responsibility including revenue generation.
Sales & Business Development Expertise
- Strong track record of developing and executing business development strategies that resulted in measurable revenue growth.
- Experience in complex deal structuring contract negotiation and strategic partnership development.
- Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with C-level executives and key decision makers.
Operational Excellence
- Knowledge of automotive industry regulations safety standards and certification requirements.
- Familiarity with emerging automotive technologies and their commercial applications.
Leadership & Strategic Skills
- Demonstrated ability to lead integrated teams across sales operations and business development functions.
- Strong strategic thinking with ability to identify market opportunities and translate them into operational execution.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills with ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Proven track record of driving both operational excellence and revenue growth simultaneously.
Industry Knowledge
- Understanding of global automotive markets competitive landscape and customer buying patterns.
- Experience with automotive OEM relationships dealer networks and supplier ecosystems.
- Knowledge of automotive financing leasing and aftermarket service models.
- Experience with electric vehicle technologies autonomous systems and mobility services preferred.
