The Opportunity:
The Scheduler is responsible for the booking of shifts the effective day to day business operations providing reports on an ad-hoc basis and as requested. This role will establish continuous innovative improvement of current services in order to provide an enhanced customer service experience.
What You Will Do:
- Provides solution focused assistance to site staff.
- Ensures all shifts are filled to meet business needs.
- Responsible for the management of site workbook of vacant shifts.
- Manages sick time time & attendance records filling up shifts and scheduling.
- Prepares daily assignment sheets for the departments.
- Authorizes and affirms that overtime and agency use is minimal.
- Assures effective communication with management regarding unit staffing status and issues.
- Accurately inputs relief staff into shifts in Kronos.
- Enters accurate hours/pay codes are entered for relief staff.
- Liaison with Unit Clerks/Administrative staff.
What You Will Need:
- High School Diploma or GED required. Diploma in office management or related field preferred.
- Minimum 2 years experience in same or similar role.
- Ability to operate related equipment i.e. word processing software and spreadsheet programs.
- Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Excel Word PowerPoint and Outlook.
- Preference will be given to those who have experience in a unionized health care environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Upholds in maintaining confidentiality.
- Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills.
