Job Description

The Co-op Refinery Complex (CRC) is hiring a Project Engineer on a permanent basis on our Technical Services team. This is a hybrid opportunity based in Regina SK with the possibility to work from home 1-2 days per week.

What youll do:

  • Lead the execution of assigned capital projects from initiation through to completion following a gated project management process that includes pre-FEED scope definition stakeholder alignment detailed engineering design and construction.
  • Apply sound engineering judgment and knowledge of regulatory requirements industry codes and technical standards to support project planning decision-making and risk management throughout all project phases.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams including Process Engineering Procurement Construction and external contractors to develop work packages monitor construction progress and ensure safe efficient project delivery that meets scope budget and schedule commitments.
  • Support the management and execution of ongoing programs such as the Tank Integrity Program involving inspection repair and return-to-service of critical tank assets with responsibilities in budget oversight contractor coordination and progress tracking
  • Maintain accurate project documentation including cost reports cash flow forecasts and master schedules; prepare Requests for Expenditure (RFEs) and provide regular updates to senior leadership and stakeholders.

Who you are:

You are looking for a career in project engineering and:

  • Have 4 years of relevant experience ideally in a heavy industrial setting.
  • Have a Bachelor of Science in Engineering ideally in mechanical or industrial systems (a combination of relevant education and experience may be considered)
  • Are a registered or EIT with APEGS.
  • You are skilled in decision-making problem-solving customer service and communication.
