How to Apply: Overview
The Senior Analyst Business Performance Managementis responsible for ensuring that the work of Performance Management at AceroSchools runs smoothly and efficiently. Business Performance Management at AceroSchools involves creating plans for how we will tell if were achieving our intendedimpact with students implementing our strategic plan reviewing the results ofour measures regularly and adjusting our plans to improve those results. Weuse both quantitative and qualitative data in this process. Part technicallyproficient dashboard creator and report generator part storyteller throughdata the Senior Analyst Business Performance Management is tasked withensuring that everyone engaged with the work of Business Performance Managementhas both the information they need and the hands-on support they need tounderstand and use that information in their decision-making processes. Thisperson should be highly curious with strong communication skills andcommitment to data-informed decision making; understand the value of all differentkinds of data (quantitative and qualitative); and the importance of supportingpeople in using relevant data across the organization.
Core Responsibilities
PerformanceManagement Tool Development and Upkeep (50%)
Collect and document business rules forthe key metrics from Acero Schools Vision Actualization document.
Translate the business rules intotechnical requirement for a dashboard with data visualizations and reportsusing student and organizational data.
Developand maintain CEO dashboard.
Document alldashboard functionality to assist in future maintenance.
Identify andkeep log of potential improvements to the Performance Management routinessystems and processes based on feedback from Principals and support officestaff.
Serve asprimary support to dashboard users and report requests.
PerformanceManagement Application (50%)
Identify trendsin key metrics on a monthly basis and report out to Chiefs bright spots andareas of concern.
Facilitatemonthly Continuous Improvement (CI) data meetings with Chiefs support staffand Principals using data to drive the discussion.
Participate incross-functional meetings with teams as needed to implement CI work.
Help the Acerosupport staff to create and deliver trainings on learning from data.
Other dutiesas assigned.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelors degree with several yearsrelevant experience or relevant Masters degree (required)
Demonstrated work experience in data analysisperformance management continuous improvement data-driven decision makingassessment or similar
Proficiencyusing technology including Microsoft Office Suite especially Excel andTableau
Ability to understandrelational databases and Structured Query Language(SQL)
Superior oral and written communication skillsespecially as it pertains to data
A track record of success with making or supportingdata-driven improvements within organizations
Experience designing reports and learning from data
Experience evaluating the quality of data and datavisualizations
Demonstrated capacity to learn new technical systemsand business processes
Ability to work collaboratively with diverse groupsof people to support team and organizational goals including desire andexperience helping others understand data
Must hold permanent residency in the United States(required)
AdditionalQualifications
Occasional travel to Acero schools across Chicago tosupport data use
Exceptional planning organizing and prioritizingskills in order to manage a diverse workload multiple demands and deadlinesensitive projects
