Accounting Clerk
OTTOs opportunity:
Our Accounting Clerk will assist the Director of Finance in the performance of various accounting functions. The results of which will lead to the timely and accurate reporting of the financial position and results of operations of OTTO Engineering Inc.
Specifically the Accounting Clerk will:
Accounts Payable Responsibilities:
- Collect and file purchase orders receiving documents and vendor invoices
- Prepare vendor invoices for data entry by matching to PO and receiving document
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies between invoice PO and receiving report
- Acquire appropriate approvals for invoices when necessary
- Data enter invoices into ERP (Syteline)
- Administer weekly and as needed payment of invoices via check/ACH
- Filing as applicable
Accounts Receivable Responsibilities:
- Collect remittances for daily incoming customer receipts
- Prepare daily bank deposits
- Data enter customer payments into ERP (Syteline)
- Determine customer credit limits
- Investigate and resolve past due customer invoices
- Review pending customer orders for shipment/credit hold
- Filing as applicable
Assists with other related duties as required or assigned.
What youll need to bring to the table:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities
- Attention to detail
- Accuracy
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Outlook Excel)
- Relationship builder
- Quick learner
- Good memorization
- Accounting experience/education preferred
What OTTO offers for this specific position:
The hiring range listed in this posting is what we in good faith anticipate relying on when confirming an hourly rate for this position; exceptions may be considered for highly experienced candidates with multiple years of at-level experience.
- Target hourly hiring range: $20.00 to $25.00 per hour based on qualifications and experience.
- Profit Sharing Bonus - OTTO believes that its fair to share the profits that the employees help to make; profit sharing is distributed to employees twice a year. OTTOs profit sharing plan is paid at the discretion of the company and is not a guaranteed bonus or any part of a compensation plan.
- Vacation: five days after 30 days of employment and 80 hours at 1 year - vacation time is earned on the anniversary date.
