We are looking for adetail-oriented and highly organized Accounts Payable Clerkto join our team. This role is essential in ensuring smooth financial operations and maintaining strong relationships with vendors and partners.
Position Overview
TheAccounts Payable Clerkwill be responsible for processing bills managing vendor payments reconciling accounts and supporting general accounting functions. The ideal candidate ismeticulous efficient and has experience handling AP processes with accuracy and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process and review billsfor accuracy proper approvals and coding to the appropriate accounts.
- Ensure timely and accurate paymentsto vendors contractors and suppliers.
- Reconcile accounts payable transactions ensuring all records are up to date.
- Maintain vendor records including W-9s payment terms and contract details.
- Assist with month-end closingby preparing AP reports and reconciling discrepancies.
- Communicate with vendors toresolve payment inquiriesand discrepancies.
- Work closely with the accounting team tosupport financial auditsand reporting.
- Maintainorganized digital and physical recordsof invoices and payment documentation.
Qualifications & Skills:
- 2 years of experiencein accounts payable or a related accounting role.
- Strong knowledge ofaccounts payable processes general ledger coding and reconciliations.
- Proficiency inaccounting software(Unanet strongly desired).
- StrongExcel skillsand experience working with spreadsheets.
- High attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial transactions.
- Ability toprioritize tasks and meet deadlinesin a fast-paced environment.
- Strong problem-solving andcommunication skillswhen working with vendors and internal teams.
