Part-time Scanning Clerk(flexible hours) is responsible for the accurate and efficient conversion of paper documents into digital formats. This position requires attention to detail organization and the ability to handle confidential information. The Scanning Clerk plays a key role in maintaining up-to-date electronic records for easy access and long-term storage.
- Prepare physical documents for scanning by removing staples paperclips and organizing pages.
- Scan documents using high-speed or flatbed scanners.
- Review scanned images for clarity and accuracy.
- Index and label scanned files according to organizational naming convention.
- Upload and store digital files in the appropriate database or document.
- Maintain confidentiality and security of sensitive documents.
- Organize file or dispose of original paper documents following company policies and procedures.
- Troubleshoot scanning equipment and report any issues to IT or supervisors.
- Maintain records of scanned documents and daily production logs.
- Perform other clerical tasks as needed including filing data entry or photocopying.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in scanning clerical or administrative roles is a plus.
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with document management software.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality with sensitive documents.
- Requires the ability to lift and move boxes weighing 35-50 pounds sit or stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks and motion.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with scanners copiers and other office equipment.
- Familiarity with file naming conventions and document indexing systems.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office or similar programs.
