Job Description
Join our Downer Professional Servicesteam and play a key role in delivering complex defence and national security projects that safeguard Australias future.
Downer Professional Services is comprised of two business units our Technical Advisory and Capability consulting practice and Team Downer a major service partner to Defence. Together we are a multi-disciplinary advisory and delivery partner of choice for our clients in Defence and National Security.
We currently have an opportunity for a Wintel Technician in Canberra to work on a fast-paced technical delivery project.
What Youll Do
This role offers a broad scope with key responsibilities including:
- Design deploy and maintain complex Windows server environments (Wintel) with a focus on stability performance and security.
- Install configure and manage Trellix ePolicy Orchestrator (ePO) Endpoint Security (ENS) and Application Control (Solidcore).
- Develop and enforce endpoint security policies aligned with organizational requirements.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues across Wintel infrastructure and Trellix platforms.
- Serve as a subject matter expert in gateway technologies including firewalls proxies and secure web gateways.
What Youll Bring
- Your experience includes supporting the build configuration and optimisation of Wintel environments.
- You are comfortable troubleshooting and resolving complex system and infrastructure issues.
- Confidently perform routine system administration patching backup and performance tuning.
- Implementation and maintenance of security controls in line with Defence standards are front of mind.
- Sustainability focuses on documenting key system configurations processes and support procedures.
Due to the nature of the work you are required to currently hold and maintain a minimumNegative Vetting 2or higher Security clearance as required by the Commonwealth. In some instances compliance withInternational Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR)requirements may also be an inherent requirement.
