Essential Function:
Responsible for analyzing financial information and preparing financial reports to determine or maintain record of assets liabilities profit and loss tax liability or other financial activities within an organization.
(This position is Hybrid working 2 days a week in the SBH Support Center currently located in Denton Texas and moving to Plano in mid Fall)

Primary Duties:
Prepares examines and analyzes accounting records financial statements and other financial reports to assess accuracy completeness and conformance to reporting and procedural standards.
Analyze business operations trends costs revenues financial commitments and obligations to project future revenues and expenses or to provide advice.
Develops maintains and analyzes budgets preparing periodic reports that compare budgeted costs to actual costs.
Develops implements modifies and documents recordkeeping and accounting systems making use of current computer technology.
Performs various account reconciliations for cash and inter-company accounts; analyze budgets preparing periodic reports that compare budgeted costs to actual costs.
Establish and assigns entries to proper accounts in the General Ledger.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
Bachelors Degree in Accounting Finance or related field
5 years of accounting or finance experience
CPA designation preferred
Previous experience in month-end close processes
Sarbanes Oxley compliance experience desired
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word & Excel)
Lawson Software experience plus
Competencies / Attributes:
Excellent analytical and communication skills
Ability to prepare and process journal entries
Nature and Extent of Direct or Indirect Controls Exercised by the Supervisor
Working Conditions /Physical Requirements:
The work environment involves everyday risks or discomforts which require normal safety precautions typical of such places as offices meeting and training rooms retail stores and residences or commercial vehicles e.g. use of safe work practices with office equipment avoidance of trips and falls observance of fire regulations and traffic signals etc. The work area is adequately lighted heated and ventilated.
The work is sedentary. Typically the employee may sit comfortably to do the work. However there may be some walking; standing; bending; carrying of light items such as papers files books small parts; using a keyboard driving an automobile etc. No special physical demands are required to perform the work.
