Maintenance Manager:
Position Overview:
The Maintenance Manager is a safety-focused strategic leader responsible for overseeing all maintenance activities within the facility. This role requires a highly organized individual with strong managerial skills capable of leading mentoring and building an effective maintenance team. The ideal candidate will possess a solid technical background including mechanical electrical hydraulic and water systems knowledge with experience in the plastic industry and extrusion processes being highly advantageous.
Department Management:
The Maintenance Manager will lead the Maintenance department coordinating activities across various teams. This includes setting objectives ensuring alignment with company goals and fostering a collaborative environment. The manager will regularly review processes and implement improvements to enhance productivity and performance.
Facility Maintenance Oversight:
A critical responsibility will be the management of the facility maintenance. The maintenance Manager will ensure that all the machinery is operating efficiently and safely. This includes regular inspections maintenance schedules and addressing any issues that arise promptly.
Key Responsibility:
Develop and implement maintenance strategies to ensure safety reliability and efficient operation of all equipment and systems. Lead organize and supervise the maintenance team fostering a culture of safety teamwork and continuous improvement.
Mentor and train team members in basic maintenance procedures electrical troubleshooting mechanical repairs hydraulic systems and water system management.
Plan prioritize and manage multiple maintenance projects simultaneously ensuring timely completion within budget.
Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on machinery pumps water systems and other equipment.
Perform root cause analysis and troubleshoot equipment issues to minimize downtime
Utilize computer systems for maintenance planning record-keeping and online research related to machine parts tooling materials and vendor pricing.
Source quality materials parts and services to support maintenance and project needs ensuring cost-effectiveness and reliability.
Maintain compliance with safety standards and promote a safety-first culture across the team.
Collaborate with other departments to coordinate maintenance activities efficiently and support production goals.
Qualifications & Skills:
Proven leadership and team-building skills with the ability to motivate and mentor team members.
Strong organizational and multitasking capabilities.
Solid managerial skills including planning scheduling and resource management.
Basic electrical background with the ability to troubleshoot and repair electrical issues.
Good mechanical skills with experience in machine repair maintenance and overhaul.
Basic hydraulic knowledge including familiarity with pumps and hydraulic systems.
Experience with water systems and pumps.
Advantages: background in the plastic industry particularly with extrusion equipment and processes.
Proficient in computer use including online research for machine specifications tooling pricing and sourcing materials.
Strong problem-solving skills attention to detail and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
