Responsibilities:
Position Summary
The Product Engineer is responsible for the development and engineering of new products and the improvement of existing ones ensuring that they meet design intent manufacturability sustainability and cost targets. Working cross-functionally with design manufacturing sourcing and quality teams the Product Engineer plays a critical role in translating concepts into commercially successful and technically sound solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Highly autonomous and cross-functional: works independently and effectively both in the Studio and in the Office adapting quickly and requiring minimal supervision.
- Key contributor to the development of strategic processes: she has worked closely to define and document the main processes for the Super Product including the trainings and has also managed some briefing meetings with colleagues. Her involvement helped to structure workflows and improved knowledge transfer.
- Strong support in the ERP transition: she actively supports both the planning and customer service (CSI) teams providing crucial information on processes and decision-making support during the implementation of the new ERP system.
- Excellent communication and coordination: Serves as the main interface with Graffignana for the Office side efficiently coordinating Francesco Ferraris activities and managing multiple flows such as SQR and BOM.
- Reliable ownership of SQR processes: Manages SQRs for Foligno with precision and independence.
- Technical and analytical expertise: Expert in managing technical data analysis within the ERP system: master data bills of materials planning tools and more. Also contributes to data cleansing and system alignment.
Skill and competences required:
Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering Industrial Engineering or related field.
3 years of experience in product engineering ideally within the furniture consumer goods or industrial design sector.
Proficient in 3D CAD software and familiarity with PLM systems.
Solid understanding of materials (metal plastic wood textiles) and manufacturing processes (injection molding machining welding etc.).
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills and ability to work in cross-functional teams.
Passion for design innovation and sustainability.
