Part-time: 9 hours per week
Fixed-term: for nine months from September 2025
Earth Fellowships are only open to current postgraduate and PhD students at the University of Edinburgh based in the UK. Please do not apply if you are not a current University of Edinburgh student.
The Centre for Sustainable Forests and Landscapes (CSFL) are looking for a masters or PhD student to contribute to and expand our digital media presence. The project aims to develop regular content about CSFL activity promote CSFL activity on our website and LinkedIn and grow and engage with our audience.
This post will be appointed at Grade UE07 step 1 which is 40497 per annum pro rata (22.19 per hour).
Your skills and attributes for success:
Current University of Edinburgh masters or PhD student in the academic year 25/26.
An interest in the work of the Centre for Sustainable Forests and Landscapes (CSFL).
Strong writing skills and experience writing articles for online publication.
Experience using social media to engage and grow an audience.
Ability to analyse trends in online engagement and make recommendations for future website development and engagement activities.

Earth Fellows work on individual and team-based projects which contribute to the University of Edinburgh and Edinburgh Earth Initiatives work on climate change research-led impact innovation engagement and teaching.
