The Oregon Museum of Science and Industry (OMSI) is seeking a full-time Exhibit Operations Manager to maintain and improve the guest experience through the thoughtful remediation and installation of exhibit experiences. They work with a wide variety of electromechanical systems with an emphasis on maintenance remediation troubleshooting and implementation.
Qualified candidates will have but not limited to:
- Ability to construct interactive exhibits and exhibit components by forming and finishing composites metals plastics wood and other diverse materials
- Basic knowledge of mechanical drives electrical components hydraulic pneumatic and electronics as they relate to exhibit fabrication and repair
- Ability to read open and navigate AutoCAD drawings and schematics
- Ability to install A/V presentation systems such as projectors monitors media players mixers amplifiers speakers and projection screens
- Minimum of 1 year experience of supervising and supporting the professional growth and development of staff and/or volunteers
- Minimum of 3 years experience with the following:
- Experience working with low and high voltage electronics and circuits;
- Experience in conducting hardware troubleshooting;
- Experience reading understanding and working with CAD drawings and schematics;
- Experience with fabricating components and conducting repairs for exhibits with an emphasis on mechanical drives electrical components hydraulics pneumatics and electronics;
- Demonstrated experience working in a fast-paced environment often with stringent and overlapping deadlines;
- Demonstrated experience or ability to work effectively with people of diverse backgrounds and talents in a professional work environment
The Exhibit Operations Manager has an annual pay of$82106.44 and is eligible for a competitive benefits package that includes:
