Job Description
We have an exciting and rewarding opportunity for you to take your software engineering career to the next level.
As a Software Engineer III at JPMorgan Chase within the Consumer & Community Banking technology team you will be an integral part of an agile team that works to enhance build and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure stable and scalable way. You will be responsible for conducting critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firms business objectives.
Job Responsibilities:
- Execute creative software solutions using modern technology stack in the cloud.
- Design develop and troubleshoot to build solutions or break down technical problems.
- Develop secure and high-quality production code and review and debug code written by others.
- Collaborate with other internal teams to drive outcome-oriented probing of architectural designs technical credentials and applicability for use within existing systems and information architecture.
- Troubleshoot and resolve software defects and issues
Required Qualifications Capabilities and Skills:
Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 3 years applied experience
- Experience with AWS Cloud Services capabilities and how to implement them.
- Proficiency in Python or Java with flexibility to work in both languages.
- Hands-on practical experience delivering system design application development testing and operational stability.
- Proficiency in automation and continuous delivery methods.
- Proficient in all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle.
- Advanced understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD Application Resiliency and Security.
- Demonstrated proficiency in software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline (e.g. cloud artificial intelligence machine learning mobile etc.).
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications Capabilities and Skills:
- Proven track record in developing and sustaining large-scale complex applications that directly engage with customers.
- Demonstrated expertise in risk management and compliance processes.
- Hands-on experience in transitioning applications from on-premises or private cloud environments to public cloud platforms specifically AWS.
- Proficiency in assessing choosing or creating tools as well as establishing processes for production observability monitoring and validation.
