At OCU Group were driving the UKs energy transition forward delivering complex power infrastructure projects that keep the country connected sustainable and future-ready.
Based out of our Mansfield Farm office this Project Manager role is your chance to take ownership of exciting projects across grid connections transmission and distribution works and renewable energy integration all while helping us set new standards in safety quality and delivery.
Lead power projects from kick-off to completion: substations HV/LV infrastructure grid connections and more.
Build and manage robust project plans budgets risk registers and schedules.
Oversee procurement contractor and supplier management.
Champion safety and compliance ensuring projects meet UK regulations and highest quality standards.
Liaise with DNOs IDNOs National Grid clients and regulators becoming the key face of the project.
Monitor project performance control costs and identify efficiency opportunities.
Lead project meetings and drive clear timely communication across all stakeholders.
Tackle technical and operational challenges on-site with a proactive mindset.
Proven track record in delivering power or energy infrastructure projects (HV/LV substations renewables or grid upgrades).
Strong knowledge of UK power regulations DNO/IDNO processes and industry standards.
Project Management qualification (PRINCE2 APM PMP) and ideally an engineering degree (or equivalent experience).
Excellent commercial acumen budget management and cost control skills.
Confident communicator and leader skilled in building trust and collaboration.
Holds a full UK driving licence and happy to travel to project sites.
SMSTS or similar health & safety certification.
Familiarity with NEC contracts.
Experience on renewable energy projects (solar wind battery storage).
Working towards or achieved Chartered Engineer status.
