Job Summary:
This role involves providing respiratory therapy services in a Level Two trauma center focusing on adult critical care and emergency room patients. The Respiratory Therapist will perform various respiratory treatments and procedures requiring proficiency in equipment operation and adherence to established protocols. A minimum of two years of experience is required.

Responsibilities:
- Performing respiratory assessments and treatments.
- Managing ventilators (Draeger Evita XL LTV Zoll preferred Viasys Vela preferred).
- Administering medications via various delivery systems (aerosol metered-dose inhalers etc.).
- Performing procedures such as intubation assist extubation airway placement and suctioning (oral nasal tracheostomy).
- Collecting sputum specimens and performing pulmonary hygiene techniques.
- Assisting with bronchoscopies (preferred).
- Maintaining and cleaning respiratory equipment.
- Collaborating with the interdisciplinary healthcare team.
- Documenting patient care accurately and completely.
- Responding to emergency situations as needed.
Required Skills & Certifications:
- Active Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) license.
- ACLS certification.
- BLS certification.
- Minimum two years of experience in adult critical care and ER settings.
- Experience with various respiratory equipment (Draeger Evita XL LTV Zoll).
- Proficiency in intubation assist extubation airway placement and suctioning pulmonary hygiene sputum collection and tracheostomy care.
- Experience with aerosol and metered-dose inhaler medication delivery systems.
Preferred Skills & Certifications:
- Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) experience.
- Bronchoscopy experience.
- NRP certification.
- Experience with Viasys Vela ventilator.
Special Considerations:
- Weekend work is required.
- Three 12-hour day shifts per week.
- No block scheduling is available.
- Adult Critical Care & ER experience is required; NICU experience is preferred.
- No pending state licenses accepted.
- No local radius rule.
- One request per contract for RTO restrictions.
