We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pega Tech Lead to manage the design development and upgrade of applications from Pega 8.x to Pega Infinity. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in the Pega platform including hands-on experience with OpenShift containers and strong leadership capabilities to coordinate effectively with offshore teams. This role will play a pivotal part in driving platform modernization and digital transformation initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead end-to-end delivery of Pega projects including design development upgrades deployment and ongoing support.
- Manage the Pega platform upgrade process particularly moving from 8.x to Pega Infinity (23) ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
- Collaborate with infrastructure teams to deploy Pega applications within Red Hat OpenShift or Kubernetes environments.
- Coordinate with onshore and offshore teams managing task distribution technical alignment and agile delivery cycles.
- Integrate with DevOps tools and CI/CD pipelines to streamline deployments using containerized platforms.
- Liaise with business analysts solution architects and QA leads to translate requirements into scalable high-performing solutions.
- Conduct code reviews enforce Pega best practices and mentor junior developers.
- Troubleshoot complex issues across application platform and infrastructure layers.
- Ensure all work complies with enterprise architecture security and data governance standards.
Required Skills & Experience:
- 8 years of total IT experience with at least 6 years in Pega platform development.
- Proven experience leading Pega upgrade projects especially from 8.x to Infinity 23.
- Strong hands-on knowledge of Pega Infinity architecture DX API Pega Constellation and case lifecycle design.
- Hands-on deployment experience in OpenShift or Kubernetes-based environments.
- Proficient in CI/CD container image management and automation tools.
- Experience with MSSQL database and data migration strategies.
- Prior experience managing offshore teams and delivering within Agile frameworks.
- Excellent problem-solving documentation and communication skills.
- Pega CSSA (Certified Senior System Architect) or CLSA (Certified Lead System Architect) certification is strongly preferred.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Industry experience in banking or financial services.
- Familiarity with Constellation UI DX API and modern front-end integration patterns.
- Knowledge of SOAP REST and service integration best practices.
