Job Description
We are currently seeking an Audiovisual Senior Low Voltage Technician to join a premier provider of high-end residential and light commercial AV solutions in the Minneapolis area. This company specializes in custom installations using premium brands such as Control4 Anthem Paradigm and Theory. This role offers the opportunity to work in luxury homes delivering white-glove service and precise integration of advanced home automation audio/video lighting and security systems.
Responsibilities
- Install terminate and test structured cabling for AV data and security systems
- Mount wire and configure AV and automation equipment (e.g. Control4 Paradigm)
- Troubleshoot system issues and ensure all devices operate as intended
- Interpret drawings schematics and job documentation to execute clean accurate installs
- Assist with system commissioning and client handoffs
- Maintain a safe and organized work environment following all site protocols
- Provide guidance and on-the-job training to Level 1 Technicians as needed
- Work comfortably on ladders and at moderate heights
- Show willingness to pursue a Power Limited Technician license (if not already held)
Requirements
- 2 years of hands-on experience in AV low voltage or security system installation
- Power Limited Technician license (or willingness to obtain)
- Experience with Control4 or similar home automation platforms
- Familiarity with tools and test equipment for AV network and security installations
- Prior experience in luxury residential environments is preferred
- Ability to lead small installation teams or manage job sites
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver s license and reliable transportation
- Ability to pass a background check
- Comfortable working on ladders and at moderate heights
Job Requirements: Advanced knowledge and hands-on experience with QCS controls, Biamp, Audio DSP, Shure and Intelix. Great to have: AVPro Edge and Visionary Solutions for VoIP / switchers Advanced knowledge and hands-on experience with AV equipment Advanced knowledge of TCP/IP networking, switches, routers, firewalls are preferred. Advanced working knowledge of computers (Windows-based) and software. Maintain a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and embrace a team-centric environment. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex documents including product specifications, wiring diagrams, and architectural drawings. Ability to respond effectively to sensitive customer inquiries or complaints. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are required. Valid driver s license with minimum 3-year clean driving record. Infocomm CTS certification (within 6 months of employment start) & CTS-I within 12 months Maintain and/or acquire OSHA 10 Hr construction within 3 months from employment start.
