Job Description

ABOUT THE ROLE

We re seeking an experienced ETL Developer to support a large-scale migration from legacy systems to Workday HCM. In this role youll play a critical part in designing and maintaining scalable ETL pipelines ensuring seamless data conversion and supporting data quality for downstream reporting and analytics. You will collaborate closely with business units analysts and engineering teams to transform complex datasets and support system readiness for enterprise use.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Design develop and maintain ETL pipelines to support migration to Workday HCM

  • Define and document field mappings and transformation logic between legacy systems and Workday

  • Conduct data validation and quality assurance activities

  • Monitor performance of ETL workflows and optimize data integration processes

  • Develop and document transformation rules workflows and test scripts

  • Collaborate with business users analysts and technical teams to resolve data issues

  • Support the buildout of reporting pipelines using SSRS SSAS and SQL



Requirements

REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • 6 years of hands-on experience with ETL development and support

  • Proven experience with ETL tools: SSIS Informatica or Talend

  • Strong SQL and T-SQL development skills (queries stored procedures)

  • Experience with SSRS SSAS and data modeling

  • Strong background in data integration from various structured/unstructured sources

  • Experience supporting Workday HCM data migrations (minimum 3 years)

  • Familiarity with legacy systems such as Kronos and Cornerstone

  • Strong understanding of Workday s HCM data structures

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science IT or related field


DESIRED SKILLS

  • Prior Workday HCM migration projects

  • Knowledge of workflow development performance tuning and documentation

  • Experience troubleshooting and debugging ETL/data pipeline issues

  • Ability to support stakeholders and provide end-user training

Required Skills & Experience 5+ years of experience in test data preparation and execution Strong expertise in Teradata and SQL queries Test result validation and data quality assurance experience Defect tracking and resolution across multi-vendor environments Experience with test metrics reporting and stakeholder communication High-level communication and collaboration skills Preferred Skills Experience with claims processing systems Testing experience on Mainframe Systems Familiarity with DB2 and legacy mainframe platforms
