Job Description
This is a remote position.
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday between 8.30 am - 5:30 pm GMT (8 hours per day/40 hours per week) with 1 hour unpaid.

The Company provides reliable plumbing heating and boiler services across Sheffield and surrounding areas. As we continue to grow we re looking for an SEO Specialist to help drive organic growth and lead generation through focused local SEO and content strategies.
Role Overview:
We re seeking a self-driven SEO Specialist with experience in the plumbing heating or construction services sector. Your focus will be on SEO content creation and optimizing our website for lead conversion. You ll play a key role in helping us dominate local search rankings and attract more customers without relying on paid ads.
Key Responsibilities:
- SEO Strategy & Execution - Develop and implement local SEO strategies to improve organic rankings for target keywords (e.g. boiler installs emergency plumbing) in Sheffield and surrounding areas.
- Content Development - Plan and create engaging SEO-friendly content including website copy blog posts landing pages and case studies aimed at generating leads and increasing site traffic.
- Website Optimization - Regularly review website performance improve user experience and optimize landing pages to convert visitors into inquiries and bookings.
- Local Listings Management - Manage and optimize our Google My Business profile and ensure accurate effective listings in local directories and relevant platforms.
- Lead Generation - Focus on strategies that drive inbound inquiries and real leads avoiding paid channels like Google Ads.
- Performance Monitoring - Track and report on SEO performance content effectiveness and lead generation progress suggesting improvements as needed.
Requirements
- Proven marketing experience in the plumbing heating or construction services sector (preferred).
- Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with local SEO.
- Expertise in developing and executing content strategies focused on lead generation.
- Experience in website optimization and conversion rate improvements.
- Proficiency with Google My Business and local directory management.
- Ability to work independently and proactively contributing ideas and solutions.
- Strong understanding of local markets and customer acquisition strategies for service businesses.
- Excellent communication skills for regular updates and collaboration with our engineering team.
