Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounting Manager to lead our finance and accounting operations. Reporting directly to the President you will oversee a small accounting team ensure accurate financial reporting and support strategic decision-making to drive our continued growth. This role is critical in maintaining compliance optimizing financial processes and contributing to the overall success of our business.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day accounting operations including accounts payable/receivable payroll general ledger and month-end close processes.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements budgets forecasts and variance reports to provide insights for management.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP franchise reporting requirements tax regulations and internal controls; coordinate with external tax advisors as needed.
- Supervise and mentor a team of accounting staff fostering professional development and ensuring high performance.
- Oversee cash flow management inventory accounting (specific to our custom products) and cost analysis to support operational efficiency.
- Implement and improve accounting systems processes and software (e.g. QuickBooks ERP systems) to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including sales operations and manufacturing to align financial strategies with business goals.
- Handle financial planning for expansions investments or franchise-specific initiatives.
- Identify opportunities for cost savings risk mitigation and process improvements.

Qualifications :
- Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or a related field; Masters degree or CPA certification preferred.
- 5-7 years of progressive accounting experience with at least 2-3 years in a managerial or supervisory role.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP financial reporting and t compliance; experience in construction-related industries is a plus.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g. QuickBooks Sage or similar) and advanced Excel skills; familiarity with ERP systems is advantageous.
- Excellent analytical problem-solving and organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Proven leadership abilities with experience managing teams and driving process improvements.
- Strong communication skills both written and verbal to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.; this position works in the Poway Office.
