You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailThe Department of Orthopedics is seeking a part time Advance Practice Provider (APP) for weekend coverage. The APP in this role will provide comprehensive inpatient support to orthopedic inpatients at the UIHC Medical Center North Liberty (UIHC MCNL). The APP will work in collaboration with Internal Medicine physician hospitalists Orthopedics Emergency Medicine and ancillary groups to provide quality care to patients. Through a multidisciplinary approach the APP will help facilitate care to ensure timely discharges. The APP will serve a critical role in appropriate hand offs at the start and end of addition the APP will respond to codes and rapid responses as part of a larger team.
The schedule for this position will be 6am-6pm on Saturday and Sunday.

The new University of Iowa Health Care North Liberty Campus opened in the Spring of 469000 square foot facility is home to UI Health Cares nationally recognized Orthopedics service line offering comprehensive coordinated and accessible care across the outpatient inpatient and surgical venues. Education Requirements:
ARNP: A Masters degree is required. A Masters degree or DNP in Nursing is preferred. If Masters degree is in a related field a Baccalaureate degree in nursing is required. Current license to practice nursing in Iowa is required. Current certification in specialty area and licensure as ARNP in state of Iowa is required.
PA:Must comply with registration and licensure requirements as specified by the Iowa Board of Physician Assistant Examiners which include graduation from an accredited PA educational program and/or certification by the NCCPA. A Masters degree is highly desired.
