As a Manufacturing Engineer II you will optimize factory costs quality and customer service through the conception development and implementation of new or improved manufacturing processes equipment tooling material flow plant layout or product design. Responsible for mentoring and training other team members.
What youll be doing:
Coordinate and implement moderate complexity training initiatives to support manufacturing.
Identify specify and justify moderate complexity capital expenditures.
Investigate purchase and implement tooling and equipment to support daily operations.
Provide technical support and troubleshooting for manufacturing processes and equipment.
Recognize recommend and validate design and process changes to improve manufacturability. Implement changes with product design engineering.
Identify and implement improvements to material utilization department layout and machinery efficiency.
Analyze and make recommendations using summarized data to influence key management decisions relating to budgeting staffing and capacity planning.
Lead and support safety 5S and Lean initiatives. Expected to complete internal Lean Leader certification.
Will provide mentoring training indirect supervision of other team members or may have direct reports.
Manage moderately complex team projects involving individuals from various departments to ensure integration between manufacturing sales finance marketing and product engineering.
Support production and manufacturing to optimize quality productivity on-time delivery and operational efficiencies resulting in improved customer satisfaction.
Support production and manufacturing quality management system and policies.
What you should have:
2 Year / Associate Degree in engineering or a related field of study or equivalent years of job experience required.
4 Year / Bachelor Degree in engineering preferred.
3-5 years of relevant work experience in engineering required.
CAD skills required.
Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
General fluency in SAP.
Experience with Lean concepts.
Experience with sheet laser and related material handling systems preferred.
Experience with fabrication forming processes preferred.
Experience with welding processes of galvanized steel and aluminum preferred.
