Senior Business Analyst Project Skyline (Coles Group)
Initial 6-Month Contract Hybrid Working (3 Days Onsite in Melbourne) Major eCommerce Transformation

About the Program Project Skyline

Coles Group is delivering one of the most ambitious digital transformations in Australian retail. Project Skyline is a multi-year enterprise-scale eCommerce re-platforming initiative that will:

  • Replace Coles legacy eCommerce systems with a modern composable commerce platform.
  • Partner with Flipkart Commerce Cloud (FCC) in the first implementation of its kind in the Australian market.
  • Enable a truly omnichannel experience across supply chain loyalty payments customer service and more.

This is a rare opportunity to be part of a nationally significant greenfield digital program within a $4B online grocery business.

The Role: Senior Business Analyst

As a Senior Business Analyst on Project Skyline youll play a pivotal role in shaping the future state of Coles digital commerce offering. Youll work across multiple product and technology teams to gather requirements map end-to-end processes and align internal stakeholders with offshore delivery teams to bring a new customer experience to life.

Youll report into the Lead Business Analyst and work closely with Product Owners Solution Architects FCC delivery teams and business SMEs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Elicit analyse and document detailed functional and non-functional requirements across digital and eCommerce domains.
  • Support delivery teams by preparing high-quality user stories acceptance criteria and process models.
  • Facilitate workshops with business stakeholders and technical teams to define scope objectives and success criteria.
  • Work with offshore platform vendors (FCC) to ensure alignment between Coles business needs and platform capabilities.
  • Assist with backlog refinement sprint planning and UAT preparation.
  • Maintain traceability from requirements to testing and implementation.

What Were Looking For

Must-Have Experience:

  • Demonstrated experience as a Senior Business Analyst on large-scale digital or eCommerce programs.
  • Strong understanding of Agile delivery methodologies and tools.
  • Proven ability to liaise between business stakeholders and technical teams.
  • Experience working in fast-paced cross-functional teams with competing priorities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail.

Highly Regarded:

  • Background in retail grocery FMCG or customer-facing industries.
  • Experience with offshore platform delivery or global vendor partnerships.
  • Familiarity with platforms such as FCC Salesforce Commerce Cloud SAP Hybris or Magento.

Engagement Details

  • Contract Type: Initial 6-month day rate contract with strong potential for extension or permanent hire.
  • Location: Hybrid 3 days per week onsite in Melbourne CBD remainder remote.
  • Start: ASAP preferred (within 24 weeks).
  • Work Rights: Must have full Australian working rights.
