Job Description

Talent Retention and Engagement Coordinator

Location: Cape Girardeau MO

Department/Program: Human Resources

Primary Shift: M-F 8:00 am 5:00 pm (some pre-planned evenings as needed)

Job Classification:Full -Time

FLSA Classification: Exempt

Salary:$43500 - $45000

Travel Required (Y/N %): Y 30%

What youll do:

  • Lead recruitment efforts for employees and volunteers including job postings educating key personnel on best practices and coordinating the full recruitment cycle.
  • Represent the agency at job fairs volunteer events and community outreach opportunities to promote engagement and attract talent.
  • Coordinate and facilitate orientation sessions for new hires and volunteers ensuring a welcoming and informativeonboarding experience.
  • Administer employee and volunteer recognition programs to foster engagement morale and long-term retention.
  • Assist in the performance management process by tracking evaluations and providing tools and guidance to supervisors.
  • Ensure compliance with federal state and local employment laws as well as volunteer regulations and internal policies.
  • Maintain and update job descriptions to ensure accuracy and alignment with organizational needs.
  • Assist in maintaining accurate data in theHRIS and volunteer management systems ensuring confidentiality and system integrity.
  • Generate reports and metrics related to recruitment retention engagement and compliance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and independently lead or support projects that enhance organizational culture and operational effectiveness.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

All you need for success:

Minimum Qualifications

Required:

  • Associate degree in human resources Business Administration or related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in human resources volunteer coordination or talent engagement.

Preferred:

  • Bachelors degree in human resources Business Administration or related field.
  • Experience working in a non-profit or mission-driven organization.
  • Professional certification in Human Resources (e.g. SHRM-CP PHR) or Volunteer Management (e.g. CVA).
  • Experience representing an organization at job fairs community events or volunteer outreach initiatives.
