Essential Functions

Cost Accounting

Work with key stakeholders on all aspects of seed costing valuation of inventory and preparation of budget and mid-term plan for costing which includes:

• Product costing standard cost updates analysis on cost variance and preparation of costing reports
• Handling inventory accounting reporting and reconciliations
• Month-end and year-end closing activities and ensuring financials accounting related to costing is completed in a timely and accurate manner
• Analyzing reports and tools that identify cost exceptions and working with cross-function teams to predict and improve cost of production
• Work with cross-function teams to help optimize product offerings that yield optimal marginal contributions
• Work with cross function teams to help optimize production plan keeping carry-over inventory at its optimal level to minimize the risk of higher Dead and Obsolete (D&O)
• Inventory Management
• Cost of Production/COGS Management

• Standardization of processes and systems across all production and manufacturing locations

• Coordinate annual costing standard setting

Business Partner

Collaborate with the business and various cross-functional departments to develop comprehensive financial plans and forecasts for respective function(s) within the company.

• Assist in the development and monitoring of annual budgets and Mid-Term Plan (MTP).
• Review cost centers spend to ensure accuracy and adherence to policies. Discuss financials with cost center managers.
• Conduct regular variance analysis to identify key drivers of financial performance and provide recommendations for corrective actions.
• Analyze historical data market trends and business drivers to generate accurate financial projections.
• Develop and maintain financial models to support strategic initiatives investment decisions and scenario analysis.
• Ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial models by validating inputs assumptions and formulas.
• CapEx
• Project & ROI Support: Evaluate capital expenditures and project investments providing ROI analysis and financial modeling.
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of proven experience in costing financial planning and analysis budgeting forecasting or related roles.
• Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work with large datasets while maintaining accuracy.
• Strong communication skills both written and verbal with the ability to present financial information to non-financial stakeholders effectively.
• Experience in costing preferably in the seed industry
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment prioritize tasks and meet tight deadlines.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and provide actionable insights.
• Business understanding mindset
• Hands-on experience MIS tools and the drive to continuously improve Reporting and Planning tools and processes for the company.

• Proven experience in financial reporting consolidation and analysis preferably in a multinational or group reporting environment.

• Hands-on experience with SAP or other ERP systems.

Education and Experience

• Bachelors Degree in Economics or Business related fields. MBA/MS Preferred.
• A working knowledge of production agriculture dynamics. A demonstrated understanding of grower value proposition for inputs and systems.
• Experience in working with diverse cultures and complex legal and business environments. Ability to coordinate efforts across business units and time zone.

Physical Requirements and Work Environment

• Capable to travel domestic and internationally.

• Expected to perform the essential functions responsibilities and physical requirements of this role with or without reasonable accommodation within the described work environment.
