Pharmacy Tech Trainee Full Time

Start Date: September 8th 2025 8-week commitment
Work hours:Full Time (40hours) Monday - Friday 8:00AM 4:30PM
Upon successful completion of the program the Trainee will transition into a Pharmacy Technician role working days evenings or nights with rotating weekends and holidays

Post Hire Fees:
Pharmacy Technician Certification Board Exam Fee: $129
Upgrade from Pharmacy Tech Trainee to Pharmacy Tech with TSBP Fee: $84
Heres What You Need:
High School Diploma or Equivalent required
No experience is required
Pharmacy Technician Trainee through Texas State Board (required)
RPhT - Registered Pharmacy Technician within 6 months (required)
Proficiency in written and verbal English language computer and basic math
Heres What You Will Do:
Timely and accurate preparation delivery to the nursing units/appropriate departments & storage of medications including (when appropriate) the use of technology to do so varies by location.
Ensuring accuracy of ones own work as well as the maintenance of required competencies and other documentation. Must reflect consistently departmental quality improvement and Patient Safety standards programs and initiatives.
Ongoing professional development and growth leads by example perpetuates accountability manages own time.
Communicate effectively develop positive working relationships and role model teamwork that reflects the Texas Health Promise Behaviors. Trains new employees on routine tasks under the direction of designated personnel.
Shares the responsibility for minimizing pharmaceutical costs (including wastage) and discovering new process efficiencies.
