Final Inspector
Full Time
Indianapolis IN
Compensation DOE: Up to $27/hr.
As a Final Inspector you will conduct the last quality inspection before precision aerospace parts are shipped or sent to outside processing. You will ensure parts meet all dimensional visual and documentation standards per AS9100 AS9102 and customer specifications playing a critical role in final product integrity.
Final Inspector Key Responsibilities:
Perform dimensional and visual inspections using precision tools
Verify parts against engineering drawings and customer specs
Review and complete First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs) per AS9102
Confirm all operations are signed off on routers/travelers
Document inspection results in ERP and quality systems
Identify nonconforming materials and generate NCRs
Support customer audits source inspections and final packaging checks
Final Inspector Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required; technical training preferred
3 years of experience in aerospace or precision inspection
Strong understanding of AS9100 AS9102 and traceability documentation
Skilled in using micrometers calipers height gauges and surface plates
Proficient in reading GD&T and interpreting engineering drawings
Experience with ERP or quality software systems is a plus
