Job Description
The Mount Abraham Unified School District is seeking a dedicated and compassionate School Nurse to join our team at Mt. Abraham Union Middle/High School. The School Nurse will be responsible for managing the health and well-being of our students ensuring a safe and healthy school Responsibilities: Provide direct healthcare services to students including first aid emergency care and management of acute and chronic illnesses. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers. Conduct health assessments screenings and evaluations. Maintain accurate and confidential health records for all students. Develop and implement individualized healthcare plans for students with specific health needs. Collaborate with teachers administrators and other school staff to promote a healthy school environment. Ensure compliance with state and federal health regulations and school district policies. Serve as a liaison between the school parents and community healthcare providers. Participate in emergency response planning and Demands: Ability to lift and move students as needed. Ability to stand walk and reach for extended periods. Work Environment: School-based setting with frequent interaction with students staff and parents. May be exposed to infectious diseases and other health risks.
