Job Overview/Summary:
The Clinical Pharmacist plays a critical role in ensuring the safe effective and cost-efficient use of medications. This role contributes to an exceptional patient experience by fostering collaboration maintaining a culture of safety and delivering evidence-based pharmaceutical care.
Responsibilities:
Deliver the most remarkable patient experience in every dimension every time.
Foster teamwork engagement and community involvement within the healthcare environment.
Promote and support diversity and inclusion to ensure high-quality care.
Contribute to a safe patient environment aligned with the principle of First Do No Harm.
Fulfill additional duties in accordance with facility-specific policies and procedures.
Travel to multiple facilities/locations as needed.
Work effectively as part of a high-performing change-ready and resilient team.
Primary Skills:
Proven experience in clinical pharmacy within health system settings.
Infectious disease or antimicrobial stewardship expertise (required for relevant roles).
Oncology experience (required for oncology roles).
Strong understanding of medication safety protocols and regulatory compliance.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Secondary Skills (Good to Have):
Experience with multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
Proficiency in EMR systems and pharmacy automation tools.
Demonstrated leadership or mentorship capabilities.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelors Degree in Pharmacy and FPGEC Certification (required); PharmD (preferred).
Experience:
PGY1 residency or fellowship or 2 years of experience in a health system pharmacy.
For infectious disease roles: ASHP-accredited PGY2 Infectious Disease Residency or 2 years of equivalent clinical experience (required).
Licensure/Certification:
Current pharmacy licensure in appropriate state(s) (required within 30 days of start date).
Board of Pharmacy Specialties Certification or other approved certification (required within 2 years of start date as applicable).
