Job Description

Ultrasound Technologist
Department: Ultrasound
Facility: Athena Medtech
Schedule: Full-Time Tuesday to Friday 7:00 AM 5:00 PM
Weekly Hours: 40 hours

Position Summary

Athena Medtech is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Ultrasound Technologist to join our Imaging Department. This role involves performing high-quality diagnostic ultrasound studies and supporting physicians in the accurate interpretation of imaging results. The ideal candidate will demonstrate sound clinical judgment technical skill and a commitment to patient-centered care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform a wide range of diagnostic ultrasound procedures in accordance with established clinical protocols.

  • Demonstrate proficiency in the operation of ultrasound equipment and related imaging systems.

  • Assess and analyze sonographic findings and provide preliminary observations to support radiologists and physicians in diagnosis.

  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient procedures and findings within PACS and EPIC systems.

  • Adhere to safety standards and infection control procedures to ensure patient and staff safety.

  • Provide compassionate professional care while addressing patient needs and concerns during examinations.

Qualifications
  • Certification: ARDMS certification in Vascular Ultrasound required

  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of clinical ultrasound experience

  • Certifications: BLS required

  • Systems Proficiency: Experience with PACS and EPIC systems preferred

Desired Skills
  • Excellent imaging technique and clinical assessment skills

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a clinical team setting

  • Strong communication and patient interaction skills

  • Traveler experience preferred
