Registered Nurse (RN) Operating Room
Department: Operating Room
Location: Insert Facility Location
Shift: 7:00 PM 7:30 AM (3 days/week Monday to Friday)
Hours per Week: 36 hours
Schedule Type: Night Shift No On-Call
Athena Medtech is seeking a skilled and motivated Operating Room Registered Nurse to join our high-performing perioperative team. This role offers the opportunity to care for diverse surgical patients in a dynamic fast-paced Level II trauma center. The ideal candidate will bring neuro surgery experience and a strong foundation in general orthopedic trauma and Da Vinci-assisted procedures.
Key Responsibilities-
Provide comprehensive perioperative nursing care across pre-op intra-op and post-op phases

Assist surgeons and maintain sterile technique throughout procedures

Prepare surgical patients including site cleansing and monitoring

Ensure proper stocking of sterile equipment and surgical supplies

Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams on intraoperative and postoperative care

Maintain and update accurate patient records and documentation

Adhere to best practices in patient safety infection control and nursing standards

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Insert State

Minimum of 2 years of OR experience required

Demonstrated experience in neurosurgical cases (e.g. craniotomies burr holes)-not limited to spinal procedures

Proficient in general surgery orthopedic trauma and basic Da Vinci robotics

No scrubbing required; circulating experience preferred

Strong clinical judgment communication and adaptability in a trauma-informed setting
