Job Description
- Provide direct patient care for adult and geriatric patients primarily with cardiac conditions under supervision of RNs and licensed staff
- Assist patients with daily living activities hygiene mobility and nutritional needs
- Accurately document vital signs input/output and patient activities
- Support patient monitoring and respond to patient needs promptly and compassionately
- Maintain a clean safe and therapeutic environment
- Collaborate with healthcare team to promote quality patient outcomes
- Adhere to hospital policies procedures and safety regulations
- Float to similar units as needed; weekend and on-call hours required
- Work in a 25-bed intermediate care unit with patient ratios of 4:1 (day) and 5:1 (night)
- Utilize equipment such as Omnicell and Meditech EHR system
- Follow dress code (teal scrubs) and facility attire policies
- Ideal candidate is reliable flexible team-oriented and interested in cardiac/progressive care nursing
