Job Description
- Provide physical therapy services to adult and geriatric patients in a 36-bed inpatient rehab hospital.
- Assess plan and implement individualized treatment programs focusing on improving mobility strength endurance and independence.
- Treat patients recovering from strokes amputations orthopedic conditions and other complex medical issues.
- Collaborate closely with an interdisciplinary team (OTs SLPs nurses physicians) for comprehensive patient care.
- Utilize advanced rehabilitation technology including EksoNR robotic exoskeleton and REAL VR systems.
- Educate patients and caregivers on therapeutic exercises and safe mobility practices.
- Monitor and document patient progress using UDS ProDoc EHR updating care plans as needed.
- Ensure compliance with all professional standards hospital policies and regulatory requirements.
- Typically manage a caseload of approximately 6 patients per shift.
- Participate in ongoing professional development and maintain required certifications (PT license CPR/BLS).
- Preferred: 1 year of experience in inpatient rehab or acute care; background in orthopedics and neurorehabilitation is a plus but not required.
