JOB TITLE: Database Administrator - REMOTE
LOCATION: Remote U.S.
PAY RATE: Up to $56.16/hour

Summary:
-
Seeking a Database Administrator (DBA) with DB2 experience to support and manage the smooth operation and physical design of databases.
-
Responsible for maintaining database performance integrity and security while implementing improvements and supporting integration efforts.

Implement and maintain database operations focusing on DB2 environments
-
Review database design and integration of systems
-
Ensure database security integrity and backup/recovery procedures
-
Monitor transaction activity and resource utilization
-
Develop and manage operational procedures
-
Oversee environment management and database health (proactive/reactive monitoring)
-
Plan for resource needs database upgrades and transitions between development test and production environments
-
Create and enforce policies procedures and standards related to database management
Requirements:
-
High School Diploma or GED required
-
Proven experience with DB2 databases
-
Strong knowledge of backup and recovery strategies performance tuning and database lifecycle management
-
Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).
