JOB TITLE: Lab Test Technical Designer
LOCATION: Seattle WA
PAY RATE: $38.50/hour

We are a national aerospace and defense staffing agency seeking highly qualified candidates for a position with a top-tier client.

Qualifying Questions:

Summary:

• Support both commercial and military programs by developing and maintaining engineering product definitions and instrumentation for lab test environments.

• Develop and maintain engineering product definition for lab test requirements.

• Prepare and modify design layouts using engineering design software.

• Participate in design reviews (PDRs and CDRs) and Integrated Product Teams (IPTs).

• Support system/component/installation design to meet specifications.

• Coordinate with design manufacturing and fabrication teams.

• Incorporate drawing changes to support business and lab test needs.

• Review mechanical/structural design requirements and configuration management compliance.

• Investigate and resolve moderately complex design or manufacturing issues.

Required Qualifications:

• 1 years of experience with engineering and design software (e.g. CATIA SolidWorks CREO).

• 2 years of experience with conceptual preliminary and detailed design including 2D drawings and 3D models.

• AA degree in a related discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Regular and predictable attendance is required.

• Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in Test and Evaluation Engineering.

• Strong collaboration skills and ability to work in multidisciplinary teams.

• Effective communicator with both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Self-starter with a proactive mindset.
