Job Title: Mental Health Therapist

We are seeking a dedicated Mental Health Therapist (Mental Health Coordinator) to join our mental health team and provide clinical non-medical psychological services to inmates. In this vital role you will support individuals through comprehensive assessment treatment planning and counseling interventions helping to foster hope and long-term improvement.
Key ResponsibilitiesConduct mental health screenings and assessments through clinical interviews and record reviews.
Develop implement and adjust individualized treatment plans based on each inmate s needs and functioning level.
Provide one-on-one and group counseling crisis intervention and other therapeutic services as appropriate.
Maintain timely accurate and confidential documentation of all treatment and evaluation activities.
Apply current psychological counseling theories and techniques in daily treatment interventions.
Provide emergency mental health care and support in crisis situations.
Maintain confidentiality and comply with all professional standards and facility policies.
Master s degree from an accredited college or university in Social Work Psychology Mental Health Counseling or a related clinical discipline.
Minimum of five (5) years of clinical experience including two (2) years in a comparable role.
Must hold active and valid LCSW LPC or LMFT licensure in the state of California.
Must be at least 21 years of age.
Strong interpersonal organizational and communication skills.
Ability to work in a correctional environment with diverse populations and complex needs.
