The Project Engineer will be responsible for managing the planning development and implementation of infrastructure and process equipment across multiple Client facilities. This role ensures manufacturing quality standards are met while aligning with cost energy efficiency environmental compliance and long-term capital planning. The ideal candidate is a results-driven professional who can manage complex projects support plant optimization and collaborate effectively across teams.
Key ResponsibilitiesManage the design and implementation of infrastructure and process equipment to meet quality and productivity specifications
Ensure process capability aligns with company product and cost expectations
Lead engineering initiatives focused on process development and optimization
Align project execution with food safety and quality certifications
Develop and maintain long-range capital plans (3 5 years) for regional facilities
Provide ongoing status updates and reports on active projects
Support failure investigations and evaluate major equipment/process issues
Contribute to cost-reduction initiatives and energy resource optimization
Help develop continuous improvement strategies to maintain operational excellence
Travel 25% 50% to regional facilities especially Hattiesburg MS to support projects
Uphold and promote the Client Mission and Culture in all work activities
To thrive in this role you must be:
A self-starter with strong accountability and passion for engineering and innovation
A creative problem-solver who demonstrates sound judgment and goal orientation
Comfortable traveling to support regional projects (primarily between 5 Midwest sites)
An effective communicator with strong interpersonal planning and organizational skills
Capable of building relationships across all levels of employees leadership and external vendors
Experienced in Program or Change Management or with a record of leading organizational change
Bachelors degree in Engineering (required)
3 7 years of engineering or project management experience preferred
Strong analytical skills with the ability to influence and collaborate cross-functionally
Experience in manufacturing environments or infrastructure development preferred
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver on time/budget
Must pass pre-employment drug screening and background check
