Job Summary:
This role is for an MRI Technologist responsible for performing magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scans on patients of various ages from neonates to geriatrics. The technologist will utilize various MRI techniques and equipment adhering to established protocols and safety standards. The position requires strong technical skills adherence to a specific schedule and the ability to respond to potential emergency situations as part of a storm/hurricane team.
Location: Wilmington North Carolina United States.
Responsibilities:
- Performing MRI scans of the abdomen pelvis head and neck spine musculoskeletal system and other body parts using various techniques (diffusion gradient echo imaging MIP MRP peripheral magnetic resonance spin echo images surface coils T1 and T2 CINE).
- Utilizing GE and Siemens MRI equipment.
- Image post-processing.
- Maintaining patient safety and comfort during procedures.
- Adhering to established protocols and safety standards.
- Participating in a storm/hurricane team and responding to emergencies or disasters as needed.
- Completing required documentation and data entry.
- Potential for unit assignment and centralized office consolidation mid-contract.
- Participation in hospital orientation and unit-specific training.
Required Skills & Certifications:
- Minimum of 1 year of experience.
- Experience with abdomen pelvis head and neck spine and musculoskeletal MRI.
- Proficiency in diffusion (non-brain) gradient echo imaging MIP MRP peripheral magnetic resonance spin echo images surface coils T1 and T2 and CINE imaging techniques.
- BLS certification.
- ARRT certification.
Preferred Skills & Certifications:
- Experience with chest MRI.
- Experience with image post-processing.
- Familiarity with neonates infants and pediatric patients.
Special Considerations:
- RTO is not allowed. Call-offs or additional RTO requests may result in shift cancellation.
- Contract staff will be assigned to a storm/hurricane team and may be required to work during catastrophic events or disasters.
- Potential for unit assignment and centralized office consolidation mid-contract.
- Hospital orientation is required during the first week with daily class attendance mandatory.
- Royal blue scrubs required.
Scheduling:
- Tuesday - Friday 10:30 PM - 6:30 AM.
- Maximum 7-day RTO.
- No call float or weekend requirements.
