Job Summary:
This role is for a Surgical Technologist in an acute hospital setting. The Surgical Technologist will provide surgical support during a variety of surgical procedures including orthopedics neurosurgery robotics and trauma. Experience with specific surgical techniques and equipment is required. On-call and weekend responsibilities are included.

Responsibilities:
- Preparing surgical instruments and equipment.
- Assisting the surgical team during procedures.
- Maintaining a sterile surgical field.
- Monitoring the patients vital signs and condition.
- Assisting with post-operative care.
- Following all safety protocols and procedures.
- Maintaining accurate records and documentation.
- Participating in on-call and weekend rotations.
Required Skills & Certifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Surgical Technologist.
- Experience with orthopedic (total joints) DaVinci Robot and neuro (craniotomy spinal surgery) procedures.
- BLS certification.
- NCCT or NBSTSA certification preferred.
Preferred Skills & Certifications:
- Experience in a Level II Trauma Center.
- Experience with a variety of surgical specialties.
Special Considerations:
- On-call responsibilities are required.
- Weekend on-call rotation is required.
- No floating to other units within the facility.
- Block scheduling is not accommodated.
- Guaranteed 60 hours per two weeks with the possibility of being called off for one 12-hour shift per two weeks.
- Time off is approved individually upon offer with a limit of one request per 13-week assignment.
- Must live at least 50 miles from the facility.
Scheduling:
- 3 twelve-hour shifts per week.
- Variable shifts: 0645-1915 or 0900-2130.
