Job Description
Job Title: Medical Support Associate (MSA)
Place of Work (City/State): Rosebud South Dakota
Duration: 6 months contract with the possibility of another 6 months extension
Start Date: Oct 2025
Shift Schedule:
- Day Shift: 7:00 AM 7:00 PM
- Night Shift: 7:00 PM 7:00 AM
(Rotational shifts)
License / Certifications:
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification Required
- Medical Assistant Certification Preferred but not mandatory
Minimum Qualification / Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of a Medical Assistant or healthcare support training program preferred
- Previous experience in a hospital clinic or urgent care setting is advantageous
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Flexibility to work nights weekends and holidays as scheduled
Responsibilities:
- Greet and assist patients during intake and triage including obtaining vital signs and medical history
- Support clinical documentation and EMR data entry for providers
- Maintain clean and organized exam/treatment rooms; restock and sterilize equipment as needed
- Monitor patients and communicate any status changes to clinical team
- Assist with patient flow coordination and transfers within the facility
- Respond to patient calls and requests in a timely compassionate manner
- Follow infection control policies safety protocols and facility procedures
