We are seeking a highly skilled Ultrasound Technologist for a 13-week travel assignment. This role covers general OB/GYN and some vascular ultrasound procedures in both inpatient and outpatient settings. Candidates must have 2 years of recent experience be proficient in complex scanning protocols and be comfortable working independently with a 1:1 ratio. Epic charting experience is preferred.
Responsibilities:First-time travelers accepted
On-call required (1 2 nights/week)
Block scheduling required
Occasional weekend coverage required
48-hour workweeks not approved
Perform diagnostic ultrasound procedures across general OB/GYN and vascular specialties
Support interventional procedures such as amniocentesis paracentesis thoracentesis and ultrasound-guided biopsies
Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment (GE and PACS systems preferred)
Accurately document procedures and findings using Epic (preferred) or other EMR systems
Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality patient care
Provide portable ultrasound exams when needed including in ER and inpatient settings
Participate in on-call coverage as scheduled
2 years of full-time ultrasound experience required
Strong general OB/GYN and vascular scanning skills
Must be available for on-call (1 2 nights/week) and occasional weekend work
Must be willing to work assigned block schedule
Epic charting system experience preferred
Travel experience not required
Must maintain high accuracy and attention to detail in high-acuity settings
No floating between units required
Graduate of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program
Minimum of 2 years recent experience as an Ultrasound Tech
Experience in trauma level I settings and community hospitals preferred
